What is Ashe Arts & STEM?

ASHE is more than just the founder’s namesake, this organization is dedicated to enriching the academic careers of these scholars through Scholarships and Mentoring for BIPOC students pursuing the Arts & STEM fields.

Through representation-focused programs, we’re doing our part to create an inclusive and accessible future.

In order to address systemic and societal obstacles, BIPOC students are often left without many of the tools to navigate leading to fewer BIPOC people pursuing the Arts & STEM fields respectively. As a result, potential goes untapped, dreams go unexplored, and preconceptions go unchallenged.

In order for the Arts & STEM industries to advance & become more equitable, they must become more diverse. We can all benefit from having more BIPOC individuals entering the science, technology, engineering, arts, & math fields. Diversity introduces new perspectives, enabling us to better solve the complex problems of the future.

By exposing BIPOC students to BIPOC professionals in positions they may not dare dream of we seek to illustrate a doorway to their true potential and enable a path to self-discovery and growth. Ashe Arts & STEM is bringing equity to ignite Arts & STEM!
